The largest mass migrations on earth occur every night when creatures swim up from the deep waters to feed at or near the surface of the ocean. These images are obtained by drifting over deep water, searching for subjects that are otherwise found beyond the reach of divers. Most of these animals are very small, usually less than one inch long. Many are tiny the size of a grain of rice.
